Margo Lakomski,
Co-Founder and CEO
Margo, the head of finances and human resources, is the "Mal" of Maltom, Inc. Her full name is Malgorzata, as she was born in Poland, but you can just call her Margo! Along with husband Tom, Margo has been a part of the family business since the very beginning.
A graduate of University of Washington with BA in Psychology and Sociology, Margo initially wanted to pursue a different career path. But when she saw her husband's talent and passion for building, she decided to manage Maltom, Inc. instead. Margo makes sure everybody gets paid on time, all laws and regulations are strictly followed, safety trainings and continuing education classes attended, and contracts signed.
In her free time, Margo loves reading memoirs, books on political science and social justice, and has a not-so-secret affinity for astrology.
Tom Lakomski,
Co-Founder and Builder
Tom, the head of sales and production, is the "Tom" of Maltom, Inc. Shortly after marrying Margo, Tom began living out his dreams as a builder for his own construction company when he founded Maltom, Inc. along with his wife. The face of the company, Tom is out in the field every day meeting with clients, managing crew, and estimating new projects.
Raised in southern Poland, grandson of a man who had built four homes with his bare hands, Tom has been exposed to the craft of construction since his youngest days. He has been building things ever since he was a little boy. Building comes naturally to him and he loves meeting new clients and sharing his knowledge and experience with homeowners.
A true nature lover, Tom's dream is to build his own home on Maui, Hawaii. In his free time, he loves to read crime novels and go on camping trips. Due to his concern for the environment, Tom has been vegan for over a decade and wants to remind you to "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!"
